Karma or Acident?

The wife of the Deputy Director of a local Health and Family Planning Department, Li Yanzhu, went into hospital on 8th Oct. around 5pm, as the heart beat of the baby was irregular. Soon after the mother was given anesthesia by a physician, the baby's heart stopped, and it was stillborn.

The coroner's report has not been prepared but the next morning dozens of people ran into hospital and attacked doctors and nursing staff in the operating theatres.

The Health and Family Planning department oversees the one child policy and millions of babies have been killed under its control.

The baby's father, Deputy Director of Health  and Family Planning, chose to initiate "physical combat" with the  hospital. Chinese bloggers are watching with interest.

While we may not all have jet packs or live in a Blade Runner’s world, China’s Communist regime has already taken us closer and closer to “1984,” George Orwell’s dystopian nightmare.

Constant and pervasive surveillance is now the new normal in China. Just consider the following developments:

Unmanned drones patrol over cities.

Satellites track cars and trucks on the roads.

Cameras on lamp posts with artificial intelligence (AI) read...

In 2018, several rounds of the tariff-based U.S.-Sino trade war pushed China’s economy and stock market into the cold winter.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its controlled media have been blaming Trump and his administration for trying to destroy China’s economy. Those “patriotic” Chinese who the CCP keeps...

Many people in the Free World have realized that the engagement policy with red China to induce transformation of its political system has not worked as expected. It is important to analyze the reasons further so that policy makers can design strategies that are more effective and will actually work.

The fundamental reason for this failure is that the Free World has overlooked or forgotten the nature of communism. China, despite its...

This is a summary of Benedict Rogers’ Nov.1 talk at Citizen Power Forum run by Citizen Power Initiatives for China.
