A reporter in China visited a local media center, and saw pages of requirements for photographers on how to take photos for communist leaders stuck on the wall. There are dozens of requirements, including: light exposure must be good to show the positive aspect of the leader; choose the right posture of the leader; do not include food in the photo when leaders are having meal; do not include people holding umbrella for the leader....

The photos below were spread around China when former communist head, Jiang Zemin was in power, they were taken while Jiang was at a national congress meeting.

There have been many Chinese blogs recently claiming that Zhou Yongkang, one of the communist regime's most powerful figures, had been arrested for two coup attempts on current regime leader Xi Jinping.

This week, several Chinese media including Taiwan’s United Daily News and Hong Kong’s Sing Tao Daily reported that Zhou Yongkang had been arrested but the charges were two attempted assassinations on Xi Jinping. This way of spreading information is one of the common channels in which communist leaders prepare the public for official messages or announcements which come later.

Zhou Yongkang, as head of the whole public security apparatus of the communist regime, lost most of his power before the Eighteenth National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and in fact has been under house arrest, since Bo Xilai and his wife were arrested.  Zhou’s appearances in the media were arranged by the CCP leadership whilst investigations and official cover ups were put in place. The Epoch Times reported this more than a year ago.

It is interesting that the announcements of the arrest were released whilst Joe Biden, the U.S. Vice President was in China. According to the Epoch Times, last year, when Mr. Xi visited the US, just after Wang Lijun’s US Embassy asylum attempt, it was Mr. Biden who gave Xi the warning that Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai were planning a coup including the assassination of Xi. The secret organ harvesting system controlled by Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai, detailed by Wang Lijun to the US Embassy in Feburary 2012, was also given to Xi Jinping By Joe Biden.

The assassination and coup plans of Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai, had been widely spread in Chinese media since Wang Lijun’s defection last year. In order to protect himself, Zhou tried his best to seize power and get rid of Xi Jinping.

Assassination Attempts

According to reports from oversea Chinese media on Dec. 5th., from a source close to Zhongnanhai, (the CCP leadership compound)  Zhou Yongkang tried to have Mr. Xi killed on two occasions after the Beidaihe meeting in August this year. In the first attempt, a bomb was placed in the conference room, and in the second a plan was hatched to give Mr. Xi a poisonous injection when Mr. Xi was having a physical examination at the No. 301 Hospital.

According to these sources, these attempts were implemented by his aid and bodyguard, Tan Hong, who was arrested on Dec. 1st.

Political sociology Ph.D. Mr. Peng Tao, who now lives in Germany, said that as a result of the reforms against high level CCP corruption instigated by Xi, he was hated and resented by those interest groups, who tried to impeach him at the Beidaihe meeting. Because of the dangerous situation Mr. Xi moved to the Military command centre in the Western Hills for a period of time to prepare for any contingency. At the same time, he assigned Wang Qishan to organize the collection of evidence of official corruption and blackmail, so as to break down the power bases arraigned against him.

Beijing, of course, never reveals, or comments on this type of criminality, as it would reveal the fighting for power behind the scenes in the CCP.

The disappearance of Xi Jinping during the visit of Hilary Clinton, former US Secretary of State last year, was also discussed on the internet, but no official reason was given apart from Xi's ill health.

Xi reshuffled all of his bodyguards after coming to power - all his new bodyguards were not from the existing establishment of the Central Guard Bureau and were selected from the special forces of the army by the Central Military Commission (CMC) and, are directly  commanded by the CMC, and follow the direct instruction the chief of the General Office of  the CPC and the political Commissar of the Central Guard Bureau, Li Zhanshu. This is the first time in the CCP's history that the chairman of the CCP selected his own bodyguards.

Holding the combined posts of head of the PLAC and member of the Standing Committee, Zhou formed a second center of power in the CCP, almost independent of then-General Secretary Hu Jintao and was a threat to other Party leaders.

During his ten years at or near the top of China’s security apparatus, Zhou Yongkang used the persecution of the spiritual practice of Falun Gong, which he enthusiastically implemented, to expand his budget, increase his power, and tear up any restraints posed by China’s legal system, according to Epoch Times commentator Heng He.

What Mr. Xi did was, first to prevent the occurrence of a palace coup, and second, to clean out Zhou Yongkang's power base, as Zhou knows where all the skeletons are hidden in the CCP.

Li Zhanshu, the chief of the General Office of the CCP is a long term ally of Xi Jingpin, and Xi trusts him to not betray him to other CCP factions.

Zhou Yongkang also plotted to assassinate the previous regime leader, Hu Jingtao on 3 occasions.

The first time, Hu was onboard a missile destroyer near Qingdao, Shandong province to inspect the North Sea fleet in May 2006, when two warships opened fire on Hu's ship, killing five sailors. Hu was taken to a safe area, and returned to Qingdao base by helicopter, then directly to Yunnan, and after one week, he returned to Beijing.

The summer Special Olympics was held in Shanghai in 2007. At the opening ceremony on Oct. 2nd, 2007,  Mr. Hu attended with more than 10,000 special Olympics athletes and coaches from more than 160 countries. Mr. Hu hosted international guests who attended the opening ceremony at a banquet held at Xijiao State Guest hotel.

It was said that security forces found 2.5kg of high explosive with a timing device under the seat of the driver of the food supply vehicle of the Xijiao State Guest hotel. Shanghai was the home of Jiang Zemin. Jiang is a former CCP leader and heads the faction to which Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai belong.

The third time, the biggest multinational maritime parade in the CCP navy's history was held on April 23rd, 2009. However, Hu received information that Jiang had arranged for Hu to be shot at he beginning of the parade in front of the fleets of 14 countries, to shock the whole world with a "Yellow Sea Assassination."

Hu changed the time of the parade and the navy officers who were to carry out the assassination were arrested. Hu inspected the parade at 12 midday. Though he was safe, it was reported that he was very angry, and that Guo Boxiong, Jiang Zemin's henchman, the first vice- chairman of the Central Military Commission couldn't help his hand shaking when he saluted.

Why did Jiang Zemin and Zhou Yongkang try to kill Hu?

When Jiang retired in 2002, he was very reluctant to hand his power over to the designated successor, Hu Jingtao, appointed by Deng Xiaoping. Because he single handed made the decision to eliminate Falun Gong practitioners in China, this provoked many disagreements with other senior leaders of the CCP, who eventually bowed to Jiang's orders. Jiang was afraid of being brought to account for his crimes against humanity, so he placed his cronies (Zhou Yongkang, Luo Gan, Bo Xilai, Zen Qinghong) in the top positions of the CCP, to maintain the huge resources to continue to persecute Falun Gong, with the brutal persecution also extending to dissidents, Tibetan and Uyghurs.

Luo Gan and Zhou Yongkang had directly ordered the torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners, and were placed in senior positions by Jiang Zemin as they had just as much motivation as Jiang to avoid charges.

After Hu came to power, he had investigated the financial resources that Jiang invested in persecuting Falun gong, and found that during the peak period of persecution, (1999-2002) the financial resources used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners consumed half of the country’s GDP, and at other times consumed 1/3 to 1/4 of the national financial resources.

One Treasury official of the CCP state council once said: "The repressive policy was made with money - without money, they would not be able to maintain the persecution". Shortly after the persecution started, a CCP official bluntly said that the cost of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners was more than the cost of a war.

Luo Gan, Zhou Yongkang, Zen Qinhong and Bo Xilai gained their promotions because they willingly carried out Jiang’s task of eliminating Falun Gong practitioners in China. They directly and indirectly killed at least 50,000 Falun Gong practitioners, through torture, slave labour, and organ harvesting.

Fearing that Hu might rehabilitate Falun Gong, Mr. Jiang started “a life and death” battle for ten years to seize power from Hu.

So the core of the Chinese communist party's problem, is how to face their crimes of killing thousands of innocent Falun Gong practitioners and destroying hundreds and thousands of families.
